Are you looking for somewhere to go on a romantic date night in Seattle? Try one of these five restaurants that boast delicious dishes, exceptional service and a lovely upscale atmosphere.

1. Staple & Fancy

4739 Ballard Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98107

Staple & Fancy is one of premier Seattle Chef Ethan Stowell’s many renowned restaurants. (I have been to four now. Gotta try them all!) His restaurants have many awards & accolades, and for good reason! You can expect excellent service and hospitality here. Make a reservation at this Ballard eatery if you appreciate an amazing curated menu and a trendy interior, complete with exposed brick. It is a memorable place to take a first date or your significant other. It’s a little bit on the pricey side but I honestly think it’s worth it if it’s in your budget. Share a couple of appetizers if you can! Everything here is *chef’s kiss*!

2. Wild Ginger

Locations in Seattle & Bellevue

Wild Ginger is a classic Seattle restaurant, it opened next to Pike Place market in 1989. There are several locations, one in South Lake Union, Downton Seattle and one in downtown Bellevue. Wild Ginger combines dishes inspired from Malaysia, Burma, Singapore and Hong Kong. There are so many enticing entrees here so my husband and I usually end up sharing several plates! We’ve gone to Wild Ginger a few times now and the best dishes in my opinion are: Fragrant Duck (my favorite), Seven Flavor Beef, Black Pepper Scallops, Mongolian Noodles and Sichuan Green Beans. This is a classy upscale atmosphere without being intimidating! I have only been to the Downtown Seattle (currently closed for dine in) and Bellevue locations. Both times I’ve been to Wild Ginger our server was friendly, helpful and very well informed about the dishes. Make a reservation here!

3. mBar

400 Fairview Ave N 14th floor, Seattle, WA 98109

I chose this as one my top five picks because of its unique setting. mBar is a rooftop bar in Seattle’s South Lake Union. The ambience here is sure to impress your date, the views are unmatched! In one direction you have the Seattle skyline with the Space Needle, and the other side you get the water views of South Lake Union. I appreciate that they have multiple seating options (For unpredictable Seattle weather!). There is the fully open outdoor patio (with swanky fire pit options), covered patio and indoor seating. The indoor seating is so chic and the views are spectacular through the floor to ceiling windows. The food is incredible! We got the bay shrimp ceviche, harra frites, chicken kebab and baklava and delightfully fresh cocktails. Make a reservation before you go!

4. Toulouse Petit

601 Queen Anne Ave N Seattle, WA 98109

Now of course going out on a date doesn’t mean it has to happen at night! I think Toulouse Petite is a great spot to take your date….for brunch! This is my absolute favorite brunch spot in Seattle. There is something for everyone in their extensive creole influenced, Big-Easy-Meets-Seattle menu! Not only do they have amazing brunch dishes (my favorite is the Dungeness crab eggs benedict), they have a fun cocktail list. Make a reservation at this charming & picturesque spot to take your date for any time of day! Don’t forget to order some beignets to share! After your meal, walk or drive up the hill to Kerry Park for the best view of Downtown Seattle!

5. Bottle & Bull

105 Lake St, Kirkland, WA 98033

Bottle & Bull is located on Seattle’s Eastside in the City of Kirkland. I absolutely love going to Kirkland for date night, especially if I don’t feel like venturing to downtown Seattle. As much as I love trying new places, Bottle & Bull is one I keep coming back to and constantly recommend. It’s good for a romantic dinner or even happy hour with friends. They offer delectable shared plates and entrees, I’ve yet to try something here I didn’t love! This is a staple date night spot for my husband and I because of the ambience. It’s got that sultry low-lit romantic feel about it. I also appreciate that it’s a smaller dining room so it’s more intimate and cozier (it can get a little loud if there’s a big group). Make a reservation now! They have another restaurant in Kirkland around the corner called Feast that I want to check out too!
