Product Empties: Review

It’s always satisfying to make it through a full bottle of a product. Usually, that means I loved it and want to run out and replace it immediately! I also enjoy trying out new things and sometimes end up not liking it enough to want to buy it again. So I’ve got some finished up (or nearly finished) skincare, makeup, bath & body products to review! Keep reading to see what I liked and what I wouldn’t buy again!

Briogeo Be Gentle Be Kind Matcha + Apple Replenishing Superfood Shampoo & Conditioner

This set was so highly recommended and hyped for the longest time! Beauty YouTubers that I follow joked how it looked and smelled like a juice smoothie! I used a code to get a percentage off (I think it was around 30%) and purchased it. It’s a bit pricier than I typically buy for shampoo & conditioner, but I gave into the hype! It does smell delicious and was a good shampoo & conditioner. It wasn’t life changing. I wouldn’t say it was a bad purchase, I did like it, but I’m going to go back to my basic affordable shower hair products for the time being!

Flower Beauty Seal the Deal Hydrating Setting Spray

I usually only use setting spray when I have on a full face a makeup (which includes foundation, powder, bronzer etc). I absolutely love this one! My skin is on the drier side, so I look for anything that has ‘hydrating’ in the title! After putting on concealer, powder, blush & bronzer it’s so nice to spray this on and see how it blends & locks in the makeup. It makes everything look dewy and natural. You can find this at Walmart for under $10 which is amazing! This brand was created by Drew Barrymoore!

Drunk Elephant Beste No.9 Jelly Cleanser & Protini Polypeptide Cream

So I didn’t actually purchase these myself. I received them as a ‘birthday gift’ for being a Beauty Insider at Sephora (which is free and you should totally sign up!). While I really enjoyed both the cleanser and the cream, I do not see myself purchasing them. They are $32 and $68 for the full-size products.

Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Camo Drops

I initially found out about this while getting a free facial at Sephora. She sent me home with a free sample of it and I liked it so much I ended up purchasing the full size when I ran out! It’s a little bit of a splurge for me but I like what it does. I don’t feel the need to wear makeup to cover up my skin every day, but I do like to even out my skin tone and splotchy redness. These drops neutralize redness and gives my skin a nice natural glow! I love how it’s a perfect “my skin but better” product. It lasted me a long time. I would buy it again!

Jergens Natural Glow Moisturizer

This in-shower tanner is one that I’ve actually re-purchased a couple of times. It gives a decent all-over glow and I especially liked to use it in the winter so my arms and legs don’t look so ghostly. However, I won’t be repurchasing this time because I found another drugstore body tanner that I love so much more! I wrote about it here.

It’s A 10 Miracle Leave-In Plus Keratin

This is a small version that came in a haircare box with other trial size hair products. I’ve used the regular It’s A 10 Leave-In before and love it. I love this one even more! I spray it in my hair before straightening it. It keeps my hair protected, healthy, tames frizz and looks so smooth and shiny! I’ve already purchased the full size! The It’s A 10 line are some of my favorite can’t-live-without hair products!

Dr Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30

This is a similar product to the one above, but I had a very different reaction to it! I received this one in a SephoraPlay bag (only subscribed for a couple of months, no longer receiving them). I was so excited because I loved the camo drops from this line. However, this version is a really thick cream. It felt like it had a gritty texture and I found it to be too drying. Didn’t like it, won’t buy it!

Physicians Formula Spotlight Illuminating Primer

This primer blurs, corrects and adds a radiant glow beneath your makeup. I like that it has more of a pearlescent glow and not sparkly looking. It’s really affordable too! I’ve used it all up (picture doesn’t look like it because the product coats the sides even though it’s empty). I enjoyed using it but for the time being, I will be sticking to more hydrating primers as we head into colder months.

That’s it for now! Maybe I’ll do another round-up in a few months!
